SNAP and TANF help for CDL training
Updated October 2026
If you receive SNAP or TANF, you may be able to get help with job training through your state.
SNAP Employment and Training
Many states run SNAP Employment and Training programs that can help pay for job training and related costs, like transportation and supplies, for people receiving SNAP. Programs vary by state.
TANF
TANF programs in many states also support job training as part of helping families move into work.
How to ask
Contact your local SNAP or TANF office and ask about employment and training programs for CDL training. Your American Job Center can also help connect the dots.
